Wind Tre was awarded as ‘overall winner’ of “The Treasurer’s Deals of the Year Awards 2017”

The company also won the ‘Bonds above £750m’ category

Wind Tre was given a significant international financial award: the company was named ‘Overall Deals of the Year 2017’ winner. These important Awards are organized by the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT), a leading European association and the Chartered professional body for treasury, which, every year, recognises the achievements of the Treasury teams that stood out in the market.
Wind Tre was named overall winner for the ‘deal of the year’ thanks to the €10.7 billion capital structure refinancing carried out last October. The company also ranked number one in the  ‘Bonds above £750m’ category.

According to the ACT, “Wind Tre deal shows that detailed planning and execution in high-yield markets can be highly effective.” The judges were particularly impressed by the scale of Wind Tre’s operation, which was the largest high-yield bond offering globally for 2017 and the largest-ever by a European issuer since 2014. The deal was carried off in sub-investment-grade territory, that needs a considerable amount of energy and resources to be put into investor relations.
