Wind Tre takes part in the implementation of the 5GCITY project in Italy

Wind Tre contributes to the realization of the 5GCITY project, funded by the European Commission within Horizon2020, the European Framework Program for Research and Innovation.

5GCITY is an initiative coordinated by the Spanish research center i2CAT, with the aim of creating an open platform, which extends the centralized cloud model to support the development of solutions dedicated to Smart Cities.



Wind Tre contributed through the definition of the 5G network requirements for digital innovative services related to the use of multimedia contents: UHD, 360 ° video, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and support for environmental sustainability services.

Through its participation in 5GCITY, Wind Tre contributes to the creation of an ecosystem aimed at the diffusion of smart solutions and the development of new business opportunities.
